About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 2) for a Defense Health Agency veterinary services solicitation. The document clarifies that proposals must be submitted in 5 separate volumes: Technical Approach, Staffing/Management Approach, Experience, Past Performance, and Price.
The Q&A provides specific details about pathology services, confirming that IHC processing is fully manual with investigator-provided antibodies. For clinical pathology, the government uses Vitros XT 3400 and Sysmex XN 1000 equipment, with manual plate reading for microbiology and manual urinalysis interpretation. Testing includes up to 20 analytes (Chem20) or individual tests. The document confirms that animal disposal is handled within WRAIR facilities and that the government provides and maintains all photomicrography equipment and related service contracts.
