About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a follow-on federal contract solicitation for dry ice pellets to be supplied to the 9th Medical Group (9 MDG) Laboratory Department at Beale Air Force Base. The previous contract, FA468625F0039, expires December 20, 2025, and there is no incumbent for this follow-on award. The contractor must deliver 250 pounds of dry ice pellets weekly to the laboratory, with no quantities greater than this amount accepted. Delivery will occur via the side entrance of the clinic, which is a hallway leading to the Laboratory Department; there is no loading dock or steps available, and the contractor will offload the dry ice into a container provided by the laboratory.
The solicitation includes a base period start date of March 1, 2027, with three option years, though the document indicates that the CLINs will be amended to show the ordering period. Key logistical clarifications address that the contractor is responsible for offloading into the government-provided container and that delivery quantities and frequency cannot exceed the stated weekly 250-pound requirement. The document confirms this is a follow-on contract to the previous arrangement, with specific operational parameters established for on-site delivery procedures.
