About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) record for a Travis AFB Facilities Room Remodel conducted on 2 December 2025. The Q&A addresses two primary inquiries from potential contractors regarding design requirements for two specific rooms: Room 1B992 and Oral Surgery Room 4B589. In both cases, the government clarified that full design documentation is no longer required, and contractors should instead focus on providing structural design/calculations for seismic equipment anchorage. The responses indicate a reduced scope of work compared to the original Performance Work Statement (PWS), with an expectation of correspondingly lower pricing. Contractors are instructed to base their quotes on the revised scope as discussed during the site visit.

QUESTIONS RECEIVED FOR TRAVIS AFB FACILITIES ROOM
REMODEL
CONDUCTED 2 DEC 2025
1. We were previously provided a Performance Work Statement to price as part of the Room 1B992 project. Now that the room has changed relevant aspects of scope have changed.
Are we to provide new pricing based on the site walk alone, or should we also expect a revised PWS to guide the pricing.
a. The previous PWS specified a full design. The new scopes are greatly reduced and I wanted to confirm if a full design is still required or if in the interests of saving the Government money only structural design / calculations are all that are required to justify the new equipment seismic anchorage.
ANSWER: Quotes should be based on the revised scope/requirement as indicated during the site visit. Full designs are not required.
2. Relating to Oral Surgery Room 4B589 and the very limited scopes of work entailed at that site, I wanted to confirm if a full design is still required or if in the interests of saving the Government money only structural design / calculations are all that are required to justify the new equipment seismic anchorage.
ANSWER: Full design is not required. Expectation is for a lesser price based on the reduced scope of work.
