About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a Defense Health Agency solicitation (HT941025Q2027) regarding Hemodialysis Machines with Reverse Osmosis. The document clarifies technical specifications for the required machines, which must be dialysis delivery systems with integrated portable reverse osmosis (RO) capabilities. Key requirements include: modality capabilities for IHD, IUF, SLED, SLEDD, and PIRRT; 360-degree rotating wheels; maximum dry weight of 195 lbs; dimensions not exceeding 35.2"H x 17.7"W x 26.9"D; sensor-based automation; on-demand water purification; supply storage; and AAMI standard water output with >30 PSI incoming pressure.
The Q&A confirms that 4 new hemodialysis units are needed, each with integrated portable RO capability to meet AAMI water standards throughout the hospital. All units must have both chemical and heat disinfection capabilities. There is no incumbent contractor, with the previous hemodialysis purchase made under contract N0025919P0378. The contract value is not specified in the document but can be accessed through the Federal Procurement Data System.

Questions and Answers for Hemodialysis Machines with Reverse Osmosis HT941025Q2027
1. Do you have additional specifications for the machine?
o Dialysis delivery system with integrated portable RO o Modality capabilities: IHD, IUF, SLED, SLEDD, PIRRT o Easily portable with 360- degree rotating wheels.
o Lightweight for transport the total system dry weight cannot exceed 195 o The Dimensions cannot exceed 35.2”H x 17.7”W x 26.9”D o Sensor-based automation o On-demand water purification o Storage for supplies o Output of AAMI standard water o Incoming pressure > 30 PSI
2. Is it a Portable RO?
o It is both a dialysis delivery system (dialysis machine) and a portable RO.
o It is a two-in-one fully integrated system.
o The department requires portable RO integrated with the 4 new hemodialysis units so no additional RO units are required to perform dialysis to meet the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) water standards throughout the hospital.
3. Then are they looking for conventional chemical disinfect, or a heat disinfect portable system?
o All dialysis machines and portable RO’s have both chemical and heat disinfect capabilities.
o The type/frequency of disinfection is based on manufacturer’s recommendations for use.
4. Is there an incumbent?
o There is no incumbent for the Hemodialysis Machines. The last Hemodialysis was purchased under contract number N0025919P0378.
5. What is the contract number?
o The last Hemodialysis was purchased under contract number N0025919P0378 you can access the public information through Federal Procurement Data System.
6. What is the contract value?
o The last Hemodialysis was purchased under contract number N0025919P0378 you can access the public information through Federal Procurement Data System.
