About this file
The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) spreadsheet for Solicitation HT940625R0008, a Fiber Optic Cable Service contract for Naval Hospital Beaufort. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide fiber optic communication capabilities, maintaining the current infrastructure for dial tone and signaling services across multiple buildings, including the main hospital and nine additional facilities. The fiber optic cable requirement specifies a 24-count cable (12 pair for data), with underground installation to the D-Mark located on the 1st floor of Building 1.
The contract will be a firm fixed-price procurement with a base period from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026, followed by four 12-month option periods and a final 6-month option period extending through 31 October 2030. The Defense Health Agency is conducting the solicitation under full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. Vendors must submit electronic proposals to the specified Contracting Officer and Contract Specialists, following FAR requirements. The solicitation allows vendors to provide their own equipment, including fiber patch panels, and does not mandate specific insurance documentation, though such submissions will be accepted.
