Re: Bidder Recommendation
NKB A-Wing Switchgear Replacement & D-Wing PDU / UPS / Surge Protection Upgrades, Neil Kirkman Building – HSMV-02425040
Mr. Jones:
I have reviewed the scope of work and expectations that DMS has for this project with Matt Jones, Ryan Weathersby, and Lavon Davis who are representing the apparent low bidder, A West Enterprise. A West Enterprise has submitted a base bid of $1,049,288.00, along with an Additive Alternate #1 bid of $14,947.00 and an Additive Alternate #2 bid of $61,239.00.
Based upon my discussion with Mr. Davis and Mr. Jones, I believe that this bidder has fulfilled the bidder’s obligations and is technically capable of completing the work in a satisfactory manner. I also find that this bidder has accepted the complete and proper scope of work.
Based on that information, it is recommended that A West Enterprise be awarded the contract to perform the Base Bid scope of work along with both Additive Alternate scopes of work, as defined in the Construction Documents, for this project for a total cost of $1,125,474.00.
