Q&A Amendment 3/HSCG84-13-R-B13038
(1) Q: The Government is asking us to propose based upon 2000 hours of work per year. Based on the Service Contract Act mandating 10 holidays and 2 week vacation (at a minimum), shouldn't it be more appropriate to base the pricing on 1920 hours minimum?
A: The amount of hours listed in A.1 Schedule of Supplies/Services and Prices (pg. 6-7) is correct. The estimated quantity of hours, 2000 hours is based on eight (8) Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday provided for one (1) year (52 weeks); 2080 hours (Statement of Work, Section 4, pg 9 of 49). Ten (10) Federal Holidays are removed from the total hours; the amount of hours is 2000. The Contractor may only invoice the Government for hours worked.
In accordance with Wage Determination, 2005-2563, Rev. 14, “Vacation”, the contractor employee will earn a two (2) week vacation after one (1) year of service.
