Question regarding Solicitation HSCG38-12-Q-200079
1) Is it acceptable to have the motor in the table which will be on the clean-air side?
The USCG requires the motor on the exterior side of the table.
2) Exhausting out the bottom will create a large draft on the floor and all dust on floor will be swept around from the draft. We are proposing to exhaust the left side, with a louver that directs the air downwards, which will allow the operator to work on the exhaust side without discomfort. Please confirm this is ok.
The USCG requires the air to be discharged out the bottom of the unit.
3) Tables do not need to have automated filter cleaning system. This means that you will manually pull out the cartridges to clean them. Please confirm.
Tables DO NOT need an automated cleaning system. When filters are full/dirty they will be replaced with new.
4) Operators need to be able to work on 4 sides however you state that side walls are required. Please clarify.
The tables need to have removable sides and must be removable without hand tools.
5) The specification calls for UL certified "class II" spark resistant”. Does this refer or apply to the blower and motor only or the entire assembly?
The table must be class II spark resistant, and this includes all electrical components contained on or in the table.
