Question regarding Solicitation HSCG38-11-Q-500036
1. Why the high heat capacity of 350,000 btu/hr?
The current Air Conditioning/Heating Cart used by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) has a 350,000 btu/hr capacity. The USCG’s requirement is for a 24 ton unit.
The unit needs to be able to simultaneously cool/heat two HC-144A (CASA) aircraft. If the btu/hr needs to be less due to new EPA restrictions, please provide that information in the quotation and confirm that the btu/hr rating of the respective Air Conditioning/Heating Cart will meet the USCG’s need.
