Please confirm whether there are any special requirements regarding ventilation. Please confirm whether there is a preference between “natural” versus mechanized ventilation.
The government has no preference between natural and mechanical, the government needs the contractor to meet the requirements stated in section 2.2 for sound testing. Ventilation should be provided, while also allowing for sufficient privacy (sound dampening).

Define immediate area of booth and will there be multiple units side by side?
The ‘immediate area’ of a given booth will depend on the layout of each facility and how the booths are installed there. In some cases, booths may be installed side by side. The essential aim is that any sounds emerging from a booth are muffled and without sufficient clarity to discern the caller’s words or language.

2.0 General Scope
3.1 Booth Requirements
On overall dimensions 3 and 4 depending on booth type it specifies 6” space between floor and bottom of plexiglass paneling and 6” space between top of plexiglass paneling and removable cover plate which will definitely compromise privacy as sound will travel between these spaces. Is there another option for this?
The spacing outlined here is for ventilation. Designs for Booths without the 6” spacing will be accepted as long as there is sufficient ventilation integrated otherwise and the overall height remains 6’- 10”.
