CBP A&M recently acquired two (2) new AgustaWestland AW139 Helicopters. Pilot training to date has been conducted and acquired for a few pilots utilizing a variety of methodologies: factory training in Italy and a combination of factory ground school and CBP A&M flight training with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Examiner “check” rides. All crewmembers of these aircraft require Part 61.63 or 61.157 Type Rating, Part 61.58 Pilot-in-Command Proficiency Check (Recurrent/Annual Refresher) and Maintenance Check Pilot.
