Question Response What was the average volume of paper in previous years? Number of totes tipped per visit?
The average number of totes is 31 totes tipped per visit.
Is this a firm fixed price solicitation, or does the price adjust based on the number of full totes each visit?
The Government shall be charged for the number of full totes each visit.
The service schedule states that pickup will be every 4 weeks. The pricing worksheet shows every 2, 4, and 8 weeks. Which frequency should I use for planning purposes?
The contract will begin with a frequency of every 4 weeks. However, the government reserves the right to increase or decrease the frequency based upon mission requirements. Please see section 4.0 Service Schedule of the PWS.
Is there an existing contract in place? Yes. HQ042318P0004.
Who is the current vendor? Royal Document Destruction, Inc. 347B3 What is the frequency of the existing work schedule?
The current frequency is every 2 weeks. However, due to limited building capacity, the contract will begin with a frequency of every 4 weeks.
What is the value of the existing contract for 2022?
HQ042318P0004 was awarded on 11/03/2017 for a total amount of $63,440.00 for a base period and four one-year option periods.
Would there be any interest in 95-gallon totes in place of the 64-gallon totes?
Currently, DFAS is not interested in 95-gallon totes.
Will the Government separate the items that are to be shredded, such as carbon, media (tapes, photos, etc.), and the paper?
Yes, the Government will separate the items.
Does shredding have to be done on-site or it can be completed off site as well?
Shredding shall be completed on-site.
In regards to the disposal Permit. This is a request for the vendor to provide where the shredded paper is being disposed, correct So if the shredded paper is sent out to be recycled you need documentation on where that location is? - Disposal Permit:
5.1 Disposal Permits: Within 7 calendar
days after contract award, the Contractor shall submit copies of disposal permits or other written documentation of approval and suitability of landfill or other final disposal method
Correct, a disposal permit shall identify the disposal location.
