RFQ questions
• p. 6 Please confirm the number of meeting rooms, and how many participants in each room. It says (2) meeting rooms, but describes a third?
• There are only two meeting rooms. Please disregard line iii. Meeting Rooms 3. Lines 9-11.
Participants 8 plus 2 chairs in case we have to fit 10, same for room 2.
• p. 7 Graphics - Is this correct, that the contractor would have access to a database for graphics?
Or would they be chosen and supplied by someone from your organization?
• DSCA will provide graphics to the contract winner
• Could we incorporate a second floor (double deck) in our design? Or is the preference to remain on one floor? We are allowed to have a second floor as per show rules and regulations.
• We are allowed to have a second floor as per show rules and regulations. We would like to remain in one floor. We have 600 SQ FT of space.
• If you would provide us with two photos of your prior projects for this event. As we consider our design, we’d like to be sure that we provide you with something unique to what you’ve done in the past.
• Because we did not purchase the design, we are unable to provide a photo. However, this booth has been built at the Singapore Air Show, Dubai Air Show, FIDAE Air Show and ILA Berlin Air Show. Perhaps you can google these and locate the DSCA booth?
• The RFQ states that the design must be reflective with past exhibit booths. If that is the case, can we have immediate access to brand guidelines, graphic assets and images of prior years’ exhibits?
• Unfortunately, not. But I do recommend you google or find it on Facebook.
• The initial rendering is due AFTER the Contractor is awarded the business? Do you require any concept drawings to be part of our response?
• Yes, we do require a concept drawing. We will make changes as appropriate.
• The Period of Performance lists Design commences from July 30 – September 1, 2018. Does that imply that the Contractor will not be notified of acceptance of their bid until late July?
• No, we will notify you a few days following the end of the request for proposal date.
• The Period of Performance lists Construction begins September 7, 2018. If the design is completed and accepted by the US Government prior to September 7th does anything preclude construction beginning at the time of the award?
• Not at all. You may begin construction as per your business plan.
• How many Contractors are involved in the RFP process?
• Sorry we cannot discuss that.
• The EDPA states that custom island exhibitory will cost between $138 – 154.50, per square foot.
In this case, the booth build would fall between $82,800 – 92,700. Does this financial investment fall within the US Government’s expectations?
• Sorry we cannot discuss that.
