About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Maine Military Authority (MMA) for a one-year service contract to re-cover military HMMWV seats. The scope of work includes accepting delivery of between 1 and 10 used seats per delivery, removing and disposing of existing coverings, making minor repairs to seat cushion foundations as needed, and re-covering seats with 8-Duck, 18 oz canvas in olive drab color. All work must be completed within one week of taking delivery. MMA projects approximately 60 seats will be required within the first 7 weeks after contract award, with an initial delivery of 10 seats within days of award, followed by subsequent deliveries of 1 to 10 seats weekly until the 60-seat requirement is satisfied. Additional occasional re-covering orders may be needed through the contract period contingent on MMA's production needs. Delivery and pickup of seats will be provided by MMA if the contractor is located within 25 road miles of the MMA facility in Limestone, Maine; otherwise, the contractor is responsible for all point-to-point pickup and delivery arrangements.
The contract includes an extension clause allowing the State Purchasing Director to extend the contract period beyond the indicated expiration date with contractor consent, and a cancellation clause permitting the Director of the Division of Purchases to cancel the contract with thirty days' written notice. The RFQ does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, funding amounts, or other financial details in the provided document. The file references an attached representative image of the standard military high-back bucket seat design consisting of separate bottom and back cushions with approximately 2.2 square yards of fabric-covered surface area.
