1.2. Background

Mt. SAC is a single-campus California community college district that annually currently serves over

50,000 full-time equivalent credit and noncredit students. Interested respondents to this RFP should go to www.mtsac.edu to learn more about the District. This website includes information, including the current educational, facilities, strategic, student equity, and technology plans that will be essential in the preparation of a response to this RFP.

Over the past ten years, maintenance of the campus boiler systems has been managed through a combination of independent five-year and annual service contracts, supplemented by in-house

Maintenance personnel. In an effort to streamline operations and better manage long-term costs, the

College now seeks to establish a single, comprehensive five-year agreement. This contract will support enhanced planning, budget stability, and improved operational efficiency across the campus.
