SUBJECT: Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Reporting Responsibilities

1. IAW DoD 5105.21-M-1, SCI Administrative Manual, individuals with SCI access will notify their respective local SCI security official/SSO/CSSO of any significant change in personal status. Failure to comply with reporting requirements may adversely affect an individual’s continuing eligibility for SCI access. Examples include:

- Change of assignment/office/directorate/contract

- Change in marital status/cohabitation

- Legal name change

- Foreign travel/Contact CISO

- Foreign influence/close personal association with foreign nationals

- Foreign citizenship or foreign monetary interests

- Outside employment or activity that raises doubt to willingness to safeguard classified

- Unexplained affluence

- Excessive indebtedness/credit judgments, bankruptcy filing, or repossessions

- Alcohol abuse

- Illegal or improper drug use/involvement

- Mental and emotional problems or medical condition affecting your normal character

- Criminal conduct

- Driving while intoxicated

- Traffic violations of $300 or more

- Noncompliance with security requirements

- Misuse of technology systems

2. The above is the most common reportable examples. To be safe please contact the SSO, USCC_SSO@nsa.gov if you are unsure if you need to report certain information.
