About this file
This is a Government Responses to Submitted Questions document for RFQ H9242126QE040 regarding Special Operation Training Detachment (SOTD) Antenna procurement, with a question submission deadline of Thursday, 13 August 2026, at 1200 EST.
The document addresses two contractor inquiries. The first confirms this is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor or previous contract number. The second question addresses technical specifications regarding antenna frequency coverage. The government clarified that while salient characteristics initially specified long-wire antenna frequency coverage down to 5 kHz, the HF frequency range down to 1.6 MHz is acceptable. The government confirmed that the standard configuration of the EM-6002 antenna kit, which includes five antennas (including the EM-6844 HF long wire with frequency range of 1.6 MHz-30 MHz), meets the government's technical requirements. This clarification resolves a discrepancy between the stated 5 kHz lower frequency limit and the actual specifications of the standard antenna kit being procured.

Paragraph Questions/Comments
1 Q: We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.
If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?
A: No, this is a new requirement.
2 Q: The salient characteristics specify a long-wire antenna with frequency coverage down to 5kHz.
However, the EM-6844, the HF long wire that is included standard in the EM-6002 kit, has a specified frequency range of 1.6 MHz-30 MHz.
Please confirm whether the 5 kHz lower frequency limit applies specifically to the long-wire antenna, or if the standard 5-antenna configuration of the EM-6002 kit, including the EM-6844 antenna, meets the Government’s intended technical requirements.
A: No, the HF Frequency range down to 1.6 MHz would be just fine. The standard configuration of the EM 6002 kit meets the Government’s Technical requirements.
