Can you clarify the specific access times to Amalie Arena for load in/out? By what time do we need to be clear of Amalie Arena following the show?
This is a change from the PWS We have a load in day on June 21, so you can start as early as 6 am. Same with June 30th for the closing ceremonies. Load out needs to be complete for the opening and closing ceremonies by 2 am each respective date (June 23 and July 1).
What time are doors for both opening and closing ceremonies?
Amalie typically does one hour doors for concerts. So once the Gov’t sets a start time, we will work backwards. Curfew is 11 pm for the show so that we don't incur additional staffing costs we've not budgeted for.
Will the Joe Lewis Company be providing any equipment, goods, or personnel that will be utilized in either the Opening or Closing Ceremonies or is their role purely consulting?
Joe Lewis is purely a technical consultant
In the Solicitation Notice description, it is noted that the Arena will provide support to the "entertainment production" and that the Contractor shall provide support to the "ceremony production". Please elaborate as to the difference between the two.
There are two parts to the ceremonies, the ceremony and the entertainment. This effort is concerned with the ceremony production.
In the PWS 2.5.4, can you please elaborate as to the need for AV/Media equipment? Is this a live program feed to DMA?
Gov’t needs a live feed in in the arena during the ceremony. A live feed to streaming is desirable but not critical
Budget: Is there an expected budget you have in mind for this work? Knowing your limits allows the appropriate level of production to be planned.
Not at this time
Will we be able to leave rigging and overhead equipment in place between the two events? Amalie has two other events between Opening and Closing.
We will need to completely load out and load back in.
Will we have any on‐site storage for staging between Opening and Closing?
Awaiting word from Amalie for on site, however, the Gov’t will have storage space at Tampa Convention Center
What talent has been secured or is being considered for the Opening Ceremony concert? This will go a long way in helping define the talent support spaces, backline, audio and video requirements.
The Gov’t is finalizing agreements with talent, and will release the act when able
What is the anticipated date of award?
20 May 2019 estimated
Is there an anticipated date for the on‐site inspection/kick‐off meetings with SOCOM?
NLT 10 days after award, sooner if possible
Is there an expectation for adding video walls/screens as part of the stage setup or only using video screens that exist at the arena?
We will use existing equipment
Is the floor setup for Closing Ceremonies the same as shown in Attachment A for Opening Ceremonies?
Yes
Can we plan to utilize the military personnel who are setting the chairs for event support roles (e.g.
guides for athletes, families, DVs to their floor seating areas?
Military personnel will be available for those support roles
