About this file
This document appears to be a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document related to the Command VIP Suite solicitation (H9225724R0034) issued by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
The Q&A provides responses to three questions. The first question is regarding the distance to the electrical panel that services the electrical circuits in the floor boxes, with an estimated distance of 100 feet. The second question asks if a real wood veneer finish with solid hardwood edging will be accepted for the desks in the two private offices, and the response indicates that real wood veneer is acceptable but solid wood would not be cost-effective. The third question is about the preferred design/material for the door placards, and the response indicates a preference for black with white letters to match the existing placards in the building.
The related federal contract opportunity is for the Command VIP Suite, which is a solicitation issued by USSOCOM. The solicitation includes a mandatory site visit, as noted in the document.

H9225724R0034 Questions and Answers
1. Objective 2.1.2 What is the distance to the electrical panel that services the electrical circuits in the floor boxes.
Answer: The closet is across the hall 20 feet away. However, we know electricians don’t take a straight path. So, depending on how they run the lines, it could be as short as 41 feet up to 75 feet ---- possibly. So, for planning purposes, I would estimate 100 Feet.
2. Objective 2.3.3 For the two private offices at Rm 1708 - will you accept a (real) wood veneer finish for the desks with solid hardwood edging? The (real) wood veneer will have a more consistent grain. Most commercial office furniture manufacturers do not manufacture office furniture in solid wood due to this reason and the high costs of solid wood.
Answer: Yes, we aren’t looking for “solid” wood. That would not be cost effective. We are looking for upgraded VIP furniture that is made of higher quality materials that does include a
“real” style/type of wood veneer.
3. 2.2.10 For the door placard, is there a preferred design/material?
a. Brass
b. Black with white letters
c. Black with gold letters
d. Etc.
Answer: Let’s go with the Black with White Letters. This will match all the placards in the building.
