Amendment 2

Questions & Answers

1. A few of the thicknesses listed in the request do not line up to products that we, actually make. Can we please get some clarification on actual PLAE products? I'm happy to send a catalog of the products you are requesting and that give the proper thicknesses.

A: Per the SOW: The Contractor Shall deliver and install 9,000 SF of rubberized flooring for use in Strength Training Area area of the building. The materials used must be brand name or equivalent to PLAE Achieve (Modern Gary Color) for reference. The rubberized flooring is to be constructed of a minimum 3.2mm wear layer, and a minimum 10mm performance rubber layer to reduce force reduction rate by a minimum of 20%. The flooring material must be adhered using industry-standard adhesive to concrete base of building and include industry standard transition pieces between flooring surfaces for safety and enhance the lifecycle of the product.

The rubber flooring must be porous to alleviate undue slick surfaces incurred during humid climates. A generalized concept of work to be performed is included in “Attachment 0001 RR637” for reference.

The flooring materials utilized must create a heterogenous flooring surface measuring approximately 13MM in height from the concrete base of the building to the top of the finished surfaces. The materials installed must include a minimum 8 year’s manufacturer’s warranty.

2. There is a certain number of excess being requested, do we have to bid the entire amount or can we provide the quantities we need to install the area based on the dimensions of the space?

A: Vendors shall bid the entire amount.

3. The open space on the right side of the drawing is not spec'd with any type of flooring, is that a solid wall? Are there doorways on that line? Does it open up to bare concrete?

A: Slide 3 of 8 of Attachment 1 RR637 concept shows the flooring specs for the right side of the building (SportsMed & Rehab Space)… 4250 SF PLAE Exceed brand name or equivalent. There is a fence with a sliding door that separates the spaces. The concrete is contiguous throughout the building, the fence is bolted to the concrete at the locations of the support posts (the bottom of the fence does not touch the concrete at any locations other than the support posts).

4. Would you be able to provide an attachment of the Raider Patch logo, along with the size specifications?

A: For the Raider Patch, the SOW lists approximately 6’ X 6’ and for the 1ST MRB logo, approximately 10’ X 10’. The SOW identifies “size appropriate” for the given space. Logo will be provided upon award.

5. Could you also confirm if the following will suffice as alternatives for PLAE Exceed and PLAE Achieve?

PLAE Exceed = Bounce2 and PLAE Achieve 3.2mm + 10mm = Performance Beast Plus 2.5mm + 12mm.

A: The products referenced are sufficient alternatives for the PLAE Exceed and PLAE Achieve materials.

6. For the Partition Walls:

A. What is the ceiling height?

A: The ceiling is open to the roof and interior, it rises to an apex in the center of the building extending the length of the facility. It is a warehouse-style building

B. Do we extend to ceiling or add our own ceiling?

A: Extending to the ceiling is not necessary, nor is a ceiling addition for the partitions. Only walls are necessary. Open air to the remainder of the ceiling is preferred as these spaces will not have their own climate control capability.

C. Do we need HIPAA Sound Rated Partitions, or do they have a STC they are specifying? (STC above 35 is usually sufficient, our standard modular wall system goes up to STC42) A: HIPPA Sound Rated Partitions are not required. As mentioned in the above (B), the preferred installation would leave open air travel to the remainder of the facility to utilize available HVAC controls

D. Any requirements on wall finishes? Our standard is Vinyl Covered Gyp Board.

A: Standard wall finishes are acceptable

E. Do Doors require keyed locks?

A: Door locks/keys are not required. The facility will be controlled via exterior locking mechanisms. This is not a controlled space and no requirements exist for additional security within the building.

7. For the Diamond Plate:

A. What is the current finished wall construction? I.e. Metal stud with Gym, Painted Concrete or CMU.

A: Current wall finish is painted drywall over studs (likely aluminum).

B. Do we have any idea of the number of outlets and data drops that we would need to accommodate?

A: We do not. As an estimate, there is a USMC requirement to place a minimum of 1X data drop and 1X electrical outlet in-between each column located within the facility (approximately every 20’). It is likely that there are more data drops and electrical outlets than the minimum and several additional outlets will be added with the installation of the audio/visual package for the facility.
