Facility Support Services for Naval Special Warfare Questions & Answers
1. Q: Will the government provide a waste water disposal station/point on Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton? If so, what is the transport distance between Range 116 and the approved government-provided waste water disposal station/point? (Reference: section 3.1.3 of the
PWS).
A: No, there is no waste water disposal on base. Contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal off site.
2. Q: What are the government specifications for the 9 hand wash stations? (Reference: section
3.3.1 of the PWS).
A: The hand wash station must be PolyJohn PSW2-1000 or industry equivalent. The Contractor shall demonstrate how any proposed substitution items provide the same capabilities or meet the following salient characteristics: must be OSHA compliant, must have standard self-contained sink with a 17-gallon fresh water tank (providing nearly 300 uses on a single fill-up) and 19-gallon grey water holding tank, must be of lightweight design to allow for easy maneuverability through a built-in handle and non-marking rubber wheels, must operate through a foot pump for hygienic, hands-free operation. Liquid soap and paper towel dispensers (500 towel capacity – 1 roll or 500 single-fold towels) must come standard.
3. Q: What is the length (minutes, hours) of the Range Safety (contractors) course? (Reference:
section 4.3.1 of the PWS).
A: The course can be taken online. It takes approximately 30 min.
