H92240-14-Q-1012 QUESTIONS 1
Q1. Has Government identified the size of the dedicated server (cpu, ram, physical disk, RAID requirements).
A1. OFFERORS ARE EXPECTED TO PROVIDE SUITABLE OPTIONS IN THE
PROPOSAL.
Q2. Per DIACAP (DoD Information Assurance Certification and
Accreditation Process), will Government identify a level of impact (MAC
Level/Sensitivity/Classification) required for this system? (Low/Med/High?)
A2. NO. APPLICABILITY TO DIACAP IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.
Note: In the information owner (IO) process, the IO identifies the potential impact (low, moderate, or high) resulting from loss of confidentiality, integrity and availability if a security breach occurs.
As of March 12th 2014, the DIACAP is obsolete and has been replaced by the
"Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT)".
Q3. Is there a FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management
Program) requirement for this?
A3. NO. WE DO NOT INTEND TO USE THE CLOUD. THEREFORE WE DO NOT
REQUIRE A CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDER TO BE OR BECOME FEDRAMP SECURITY
AUTHORIZED.
Q4. What is the DR/COOP (Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations) requirement for this service?
A4. THERE IS NO DR/COOP REQUIREMENT. INDUSTRY STANDARD DATA BACKUP
AND RECOVERY IS EXPECTED.
Q5. There is no CLIN for access to "shared hosting resources?" - Has
Government identified quantities or IOPS (input/output operations per second) for each service?
A6. NO IOPS NUMBERS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED. IOPS NUMBERS PUBLISHED BY
STORAGE DEVICE MANUFACTURERS DO NOT GUARANTEE REAL-WORLD
APPLICATION PERFORMANCE.
THE SPECIFIC NUMBER OF IOPS POSSIBLE IN ANY SYSTEM CONFIGURATION WILL
VARY
GREATLY. THERE ARE OTHER FACTORS WHICH CAN ALSO AFFECT THE IOPS
RESULTS
INCLUDING THE SYSTEM SETUP, STORAGE DRIVERS, OPERATING SYSTEM
BACKGROUND OPERATIONS, ETC.
Q7. What is the current control panel Government is using?
A7. DUE TO SECURITY CONSIDERATIONS, THIS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. THE
PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS SHOULD OFFER SUITABLE OPTIONS FOR NSW REVIEW.
