STATEMENT OF WORK

For the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) High Gain Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Antennas 1.0 Introduction United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) requires the upgrade/replacement of Ultra High Frequency (UHF) High Gain Satellite Communications (SATCOM Antennas. Special Operations Forces (SOF) requires reliable, small, and lightweight antennas that are compatible with various SOF-unique and Service Common satellite capable radio systems. The antennas must be able to provide the necessary gain and performance to support 5 and 25 kHz single channels as well as the Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) Integrated Waveform, both 5 and 25 kHz channels. The size, weight, and performance of these antennas shall range from being able to fit into the battle dress uniform cargo pocket being deployed in a matter of seconds to large higher gain antennas located at C2 nodes such as a Forward Operating Base (FOB) where abbreviated set up times are not critical.

1.1 Purpose The purpose of this Statement of Work is to clearly define the requirements for the production, fielding and support of three classes of antennas (Platform, Deployable and Lightweight) that are comparable / equal to the nine Trivec-Avant UHF SATCOM antennas described in Section 3.0, Requirements.

1.2 Concept of Operations These antennas shall enable SOF teams to communicate on a user selected frequency from 240 to 400 megahertz (MHz) utilizing a single antenna. The aforementioned antennas are designed and possess the performance criteria for various scenarios including manpack (at the halt), ground/maritime platforms, while on the move, and fixed location operations. Thus environmental robustness, reliability, and performance are critical characteristics for the final material solutions. Deliveries shall be in accordance with Section B of the contract.

2.0 Applicable Documents The following specifications and standards form a part of this SOW to the extent specified herein. In the event of conflict between the contents of this SOW and the Contractors Product Specifications the latter shall be considered as the superseding requirement.
