4. BACKGROUND
4.1 GSA, like private sector business, is mandated by Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) standards regarding the health and safety of federal employees and visitors to federal facilities. These, and other, standards require GSA to develop and administer various OSH/IH programs not limited to those mentioned above. Due to travel, budget, and other constraints GSA has contracted for these services for several years. Also due to Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandates, the use of performance-based statements of work or statements of objectives are being used to commission new procurements.
4.2 The programs included with this procurement are essential for the Regional Safety Office and the Environmental Programs Office to provide a safe and healthful work environment for GSA employees and visitors. These programs are used to evaluate the safety, health, and environmental risk of each facility and provide information to contractors working at GSA facilities.
5. STRATEGIC GOALS
5.1 The mission of the Regional Safety and the Environmental Programs Office is to provide management with clear and accurate information so informed decisions can be made regarding the safety and health of all occupants and users of federal facilities in the Rocky Mountain Region. | 10.1.3. | It is strongly encouraged that a copy of the OF 306, Addendum to OF 306, & CIW be provided to the GSA Regional Adjudications POC prior to the appointment. The personal information on both FD-258s should be left blank until the fingerprints are recorded on the cards. Some organizations have electronic means to take fingerprints, and the system will print the personal data on the card, while other providers do not have this capability, which results in the applicant having to hand-write the personal information on the cards, in black ink only. Re-gardless of the method utilized to obtain the prints, the applicant is responsible for ensuring all personal information is filled out. |
| 10.2.3. | A legible photo copy of a valid driver’s license (or other government issued photo ID if the applicant doesn’t have a driver’s license) is required. This is used to positively identify the person who completed and signed the forms. |
