About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document and Addendum No. 1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-84131514-ITB for Government Crime Insurance issued by the Florida Department of Management Services. The document includes responses to three questions from potential bidders and revises the Timeline of Events to extend the bid submission deadline from December 2, 2024 to December 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET. Key dates include: questions due November 12, 2024; Q&A posting November 26, 2024; bid opening December 4, 2024 at 2:01 PM ET; Notice of Intent to Award posting December 16, 2024; and anticipated contract start date of January 1, 2025.
The Q&A reveals details about a significant loss claim involving approximately 5,000 comic books at Florida State University's Strozier Library during the 2021-2022 policy period. The Department clarified that each of the 48 program participants operates under their own internal policies and procedures while adhering to state and federal guidelines. The Department does not maintain centralized control documents or collect individual applications from participants. A virtual bid opening option is available via conference call, and accommodation requests must be made five business days in advance of any scheduled events.
