About this file
This is a General Insurance document for the City of Meriden, Connecticut, related to the procurement of seven Ford Interceptor Utility Model police vehicles with up-fitting services. The project encompasses the purchase of four patrol vehicles, two supervisor vehicles, and one administrative vehicle, all requiring customization and equipment installation to meet police department operational standards. The document establishes insurance requirements and coverage specifications that bidders and the awarded contractor must maintain throughout the performance period.
The insurance requirements stipulate comprehensive coverage including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and other protective measures to mitigate risk exposure for the City of Meriden during vehicle acquisition and up-fitting activities. Bidders must demonstrate adequate insurance capacity and maintain required coverage limits throughout contract execution. The document outlines specific endorsements, certificate of insurance submissions, and proof of coverage that contractors must provide prior to commencing work. These insurance provisions serve as protective mechanisms for the municipality and establish baseline risk management standards that all prospective vendors must satisfy as a condition of contract award and performance.
