Question and Answers Gate Installation - 3 Chicago Facilities
21-350SOS-SOS35-B-19320
1. Upon field observations, we saw that some gate had posts that they secured to remain open while others did not have this feature. Should we plan for them on the new gates?
This question is answered in section 1.2.6 of the solicitation
2. At 5401 N Elston, we noticed reflective strips on the gates. Should we do this for all gates?
No
3. At 5401 N Elston, the posts are 8x8 while all other gate posts are 6x6. Should we replace at 8x8 or can we use 6x6 like the other gates?
The posts are to be replaced with same dimensions as currently installed – 8” at North and 6” at South and West
4. Would we be replacing signage?
No but all current signage must be returned to ILSOS and not disposed of
5. Gate #4 at 9901 S MLK Drive is currently single swing. Should we replace it with a double swing?
ILSOS engineering staff has verified that all gates at the south facility are double and this is how it should be quoted as is stated in the scope of work.
6. We would like to schedule a walkthrough. Do we need to contact someone and if so, whom?
Vendors are able to visit the sites to view the gates but no one on site will be available to answer any questions. All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing
