About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Meteorological Subscription service required by the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). The SOW outlines the scope and requirements for the contractor to provide location-based meteorological monitoring and forecasting services to support WAPA's near real-time weather situational awareness and meet FERC Order 881 requirements. Key requirements include daily weather briefings, continuous weather monitoring, long-range outlooks, data integration capabilities, forecast periods, meteorologist access, lightning strike monitoring, mobile app access, and customized mapping and alert features. The Period of Performance is a 12-month subscription from 11/01/2024 to 10/31/2025. The related federal contract opportunity is a Sole Source Notice of Intent to acquire these services from DTN under simplified acquisition procedures.

d. Receive all Meterological Data (observed and forecasted) based on georeferenced queries using latitude and longitude (decimal degrees format).
e. Receive all Meterological Data (observed and forecasted) correlated with, and appropriate to, a geographical distance no greater than ten (10) miles from the georeferenced query (latitude, longitude).
f. Receive all Meterological Data (observed and forecasted) with sufficient confidence that the actual temperature will not be greater than that temperature (FERC Order No. 881 120).
g. Meterological Data: Receive current ambient air temperature in °F and/or °C.
