About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for the Florida Bass Conservation Center Calcium Scaling project. The addendum provides answers to questions submitted by a prospective respondent regarding the pipe diameters and estimated gallons per minute (GPM) for the main cold-water supply in the pump room. The RFP seeks competitive proposals to mitigate and abate an ongoing calcium scaling issue at the Florida Bass Conservation Center in Sumter County. The responses to the RFP are due by 2:00 PM (ET) on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

The main cold-water supply pipes have diameters of 18 inches for the pipe from the head tank to the main building after filtration, and 12 inches for the reuse pipe from the head tank to the fish tanks. The maximum GPM for these pipes is 1,000, with an average of 600 GPM.
