About this file
This document provides guidance on sustainable product requirements for federal contracts. It identifies categories of bio-based and EPA-designated green products that agencies should consider including in contracts where possible. These include construction, landscaping, paper, and cleaning supplies. Contractors must meet energy efficiency standards for delivered products, items furnished for government use, and those specified in construction or renovation by providing ENERGY STAR or FEMP-designated energy-saving technologies and appliances. Links are provided to lists of compliant bio-preferred and sustainable products.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Agriculture Forest Service for vault toilet pumping services.
