About this file
This is a Local Vendor Preference Certification form issued by Collier County, Florida's Procurement Services Division for use in response to a Real Estate Services Request for Proposals. The form allows vendors to certify their status as local businesses eligible for local preference consideration in county procurement activities. Vendors must attest that they maintain a physical business address within Collier County limits from which staff operates, contribute measurably to the county's economic development through employment retention or expansion and tax base support, and possess a current Local Business Tax Receipt issued by the Collier County Tax Collector prior to bid submission. The certification requires a duly authorized corporate representative to sign and affirm the accuracy of the information under penalties of perjury, with the understanding that misrepresentation of local preference status will result in loss of the privilege for up to one year.
The Real Estate Services contract opportunity for which this certification form is used involves the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, specifically the Operations & Performance Management Division in collaboration with the Procurement Services Division. The county anticipates engaging in real estate transactions exceeding $5,000,000 per fiscal year, depending on property availability and lease needs. All services must be performed by Florida-licensed brokers or licensed sales associates under broker supervision in compliance with Chapter 475, Florida Statutes. Contractor commissions and fees are determined by the fee schedule submitted in response to the RFP and are paid only upon successful completion of transactions. The county reserves the right to request documentation substantiating vendor certifications, with failure to provide such documentation rendering the submission non-responsive.
