About this file
This document is a clarification related to a fiber optic cabling project for the Agricultural Center being constructed by Madison County Schools in Georgia. The scope of work calls for a 24-strand fiber run from the existing MDF at the Board of Education office to the new Agricultural Center, with an approximate length of 650 feet. The general contractor will provide the conduit from the Agricultural Center to the road, and the low voltage/fiber contractor will provide the conduit from the existing MDF, under the road, to the conduit provided by the general contractor.
The related State and Local Contract Opportunity is an RFP for the low voltage data cabling at the Agricultural Center project. This includes 35 access point drops, 47 camera drops, and 30 data drops for a total of 118 drops. There are also two fiber runs between data closets, including the 24-strand fiber run from the district MDF to the Agricultural Center, which will have enough capacity for the Agricultural Center and two additional planned structures.
