Text version
Dear Sir or Madam, 25 July 2012 The Exchange is requesting information from suppliers regarding their experience and input based on the our requirement to develop a softlines location planning and grading solution in an attempt to sunset the current fashion location planning system, FPS.
Currently the planning process is part of the Exchanges’ Legacy FPS (Fashion Profile System.) Shortcomings to the existing solution include:
· The creation of a rigid receipt plan
· There is not an interface with our financial planning tool (Pace)
· Limited access to the benefits that ORACLE RMS brings to the table. For example, while visibility exist to inventory in ORACLE RMS, we have limited visibility between the current planning tool and the actual current state.
Potential benefits of the future solution will include:
· The ability to plan to sales trends, inventory in stocks, and actual performance
· An opportunity to increase sales and the lower markdown dollar usage and inventory
· A drop in logistical costs due to a reduction, if not the elimination, of cross balancing
Your responses to the questions outlined in Attachment 1 will greatly assist the Exchange in determining the next steps.
Any questions must be submitted in writing to the undersigned via email to: Sally Martinez Martinezar@aafes.com no later than 3 August 2012. Answers to questions will be provided to all suppliers.
The Exchange is requesting responses to the questions outlined in Attachment 1. Do not include marketing material, etc, with your response. Responses to this RFI are required by 2:00 PM cst, 17 August 2012.
