About this file
This document is a Faithful Performance Bond issued by the County of Orange, California, for a contract with an unspecified contractor. The bond is for a specific project, with a penal sum of $30,423.00, which guarantees the contractor's faithful performance of the contract terms. The bond outlines the obligations of the Principal (contractor) and the Surety, ensuring that the contractor will complete the work according to the contract specifications and indemnify the County against any potential losses or damages.
The bond includes provisions for cost recovery, legal expenses, and allows for changes to the contract without affecting the Surety's obligations. It follows California Corporations Code section 313 requirements for corporate signatories, specifying that either two corporate officers must sign or one officer can sign with written evidence of their authority to bind the corporation. The document provides space for approvals from the CEO/Risk Management, County Counsel, and signatures from the Contractor and Surety, with a requirement that the Surety representative's signature must be notarized.
