About this file

This is a Facility Master Plan document prepared for a Colorado institution, specifically detailing the East Wing Renovation project as outlined in RRCC 27-01-RFQ01. The document presents a comprehensive renovation plan focused on relocating the Marketing and President's Office to create functional proximity and improved operational alignment. The project involves relocating these two administrative departments to the East Wing adjacent to the Foundation Office, which requires the conversion of three low-utilization classrooms to other existing general classrooms, relocation of the Call Center to a new One-Stop Shop facility, and reconfiguration of two Institutional Research offices to accommodate the new layout. The proposed plan includes dedicated private offices for the President, Executive Assistant, leadership staff (2 positions), and marketing personnel (3 positions), along with a dedicated conference room to support collaborative initiatives between departments. No precedent projects are identified as necessary prerequisites for this renovation.

The master plan document indicates that the project follows established guiding principles prioritizing the Marketing and President's Office relocation with a phased approach distinguishing near-term and mid-term implementation. The document notes that the complete Master Plan will be provided to the awarded firm, suggesting this represents a design or construction services procurement. The floor plan comparisons illustrate the transition from the existing configuration featuring three classrooms, Institutional Research offices, and the Call Center to the proposed layout emphasizing administrative consolidation and functional efficiency. Pricing terms, contract duration, specific response deadlines, and funding sources are not detailed within this excerpt of the facility planning document.

b. Relocate Marketing and President’s Office

The Need The President’s office is currently located behind the Admissions suite, adjacent to classrooms. The existing Marketing suite is located on Level 3 of the West Wing. There is a functional need for these two programs to be located in close proximity in an accessible location.

The proposed relocation includes dedicated private offices, an open work environment, and a conference room to support communication and joint initiatives.

The Project The new plan places the President’s Office and Marketing suite adjacent to the Foundation Office, fostering stronger alignment amongst these working groups. To accommodate this change, three classrooms with low utilization will be taken offline and rescheduled to other existing general classrooms on campus. The Call Center will move to the new One-Stop Shop (see project a), while two existing Institutional Research offices will be reconfigured and absorbed into the plan. The balance of private offices will be assigned to leadership staff (2) and marketing (3).
