About this file
This is Addendum #1 to a sealant project issued by the City of Peachtree City, Georgia for work at various city facilities under project number 23-113BES. The project scope involves removing existing sealant around all windows and doors at multiple facilities and replacing it with new sealant, including waterproof coating applications on accent areas. Specific work locations include Station 81 (Leach Station), which has brick accents at the top and bottom requiring waterproof coating, and City Hall, which contains both split face block and EFIS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) areas. Known leak issues have been reported around bay windows at Station 81, which the city expects the sealant replacement work to resolve. The addendum provides clarification on project logistics and scheduling constraints.
Contractors are permitted to work weekends provided work does not interfere with scheduled events at the library and recreation facilities. Work on Wednesdays and Fridays must be limited to areas away from building entrances due to municipal court sessions. Contractor parking and material storage will be restricted during scheduled events and must be coordinated with the project manager. At Station 81, the contractor must coordinate vehicle movement with the station commander and fire department personnel. The city has provided a schedule of upcoming events at Drake Field (adjacent to City Hall) running through September, including Sunset Sounds concerts, community markets, a sprint triathlon, and cultural festivals.

ADDENDUM #1
1. QUESTION: Are we allowed to work on weekends?
CITY’S RESPONSE: Attached are scheduled events at the Library (shared parking) and recreation events. Upon award, staff will work to update this list.
Contractor may work weekends as long as work does not interfere with the events. Contractor parking needs and material storage will be limited during these events and will have to be coordinated with project manager. Contractor will limit work on Wednesdays and Fridays (municipal court in session) to areas that are away from entrances to the building.
2. QUESTION: Please identify all known leak issues.
CITY’S RESPONSE: Leaks have been reported around some bay windows at Station 81. Scope of work in bid is to remove sealant around all windows and doors and replace. City will see if this resolves the leaks.
3. COMMENT: At City Hall, a portion of the building is EFIS rather than split face block. See Scope of Work for these non-split face block areas.
4. QUESTION: Can we assume the fire department vehicles will be accommodating?
CITY’S RESPONSE: Contractor will coordinate with station commander on when vehicles need to be moved and where. Fire Department personnel will work with contractor on this.
5. QUESTION: The Leach Station, Station 81, has a brick accent both top and bottom. Do we need to paint this?
CITY’S RESPONSE: Accent areas to receive waterproof coating as well, not paint.
