About this file
This is a Solicitation Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for solicitation FA930226Q0013, addressing contractor inquiries regarding a rodent remediation and storage facility cleaning contract at a federal military installation. The contract encompasses an initial 30-day contamination cleanup followed by monthly inspection and sealing services, with the requestor anticipating a 5-year option contract structure.
The scope of work is limited to Building 1030C, a temporary fabric tensioned structure measuring 99.5 feet by 77.5 feet (7,711.25 square feet total), and includes exclusion sealing of visible and accessible entry points, sanitization of storage shelves and contents, palletized boxes, cabinets and drawers, floor cleaning, and air sanitation only if harsh chemicals are used. Monthly follow-on services consist of inspection and sealing of new entry points only, formatted as optional line items that may be reduced to every-other-month inspections as conditions warrant. Contamination is defined as evidence of rodent traffic, bedding, urine, or feces. The contractor must vacuum loose debris created by nesting rodents and apply topical treatments while leaving pallets, cardboard boxes, and Pelican cases in place after treatment. Documentation requirements include logs and reports after each service visit. The contract requires coordination with the existing base-wide pest management contractor for tasks outside its current scope. A nonmandatory site visit is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM PST to assess current rodent conditions (several mice caught on traps along interior perimeter walls) and determine specific cleaning volumes. No PPE is required, electronics are permitted pending power availability, and workers may need to handle boxes and cases exceeding 50 pounds at floor and 5-foot shelf levels.
