Amendment 1 for FA930224Q0017 Questions and Answers:

Question 1: Regarding the wires and cables, is there a footage for these wires or would we be working with standard reel sizes for each? If it is reel sizes, are you just needing one of each or will there be more?

Answer 1: We are seeking pricing per feet, as outlined in the spreadsheet and the participants/awardees would be supplying those quantities per the individual orders placed against the BPA and priced according to the vendor’s price list.

The spreadsheet that should be part of the request for bid (provided to the suppliers bidding), has multiple qty/pricing columns with a range of quantities (if I recall correctly) from 1,000 ft to 20,000 ft.

The wire suppliers should enter their best price in each qty/pricing column (for the purchase quantity specified in that column).

This enables us (Edwards) to place an order for the quantity that best meets our needs, schedule, and budget.

The cable part numbers listed in the request for bid are generally, industry recognized wire and cable part numbers / descriptions used in the aerospace wire industry and thus should be easily quoted. (see NOTE below) NOTE: the spreadsheet contains additional important information / details pertaining to the items to be quoted – these details below are critical.

(the list below is not complete) – please refer to yellow highlighted box on Excel Spreadsheet.

For example:

• One continuous length of wire or cable per spool.

• Minimum length of wire or cable on spool.

• Special orange outer jacket on cables.

• NO ORANGE COLOR INK STRIPES will be accepted as a substitute for an orange outer jacket.

• The outer jacket specification (specifies) cross-linked outer jacket material (this technical detail is built into the part numbers in the list) therefore no substitute part numbers allowed.”
