Questions / Answers
FA9302-21-Q-0003
22 Dec 2020
Question 1:
Will the unit be stored inside or outside in the weather?
Answer 1:
Both, primarily outside, due to limited indoor storage space for aircraft support equipment/structures.
Question 2:
Would the unit typically be hand pushed/moved or towed, if towed, approximately how far and how fast?
Answer 2:
Both pushed and towed, dependent on where stand is stored relative to where/how far away the aircraft is parked. USAF Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) tow speeds are typically 5 mph.
Question 3:
Will the unit be disassembled after each use or not?
Answer 3:
Typically not disassembled except for cargo transport/shipment.
Question 4:
Would stairs be better than a ladder for accessing the work platform?
Answer 4:
Ladder, due to very limited space between vertical side frames and cargo bay walls, for personnel to still being able to have any forward/aft movement around unit when it is installed/in-use in the cargo bay area.
