STATEMENT OF WORK

Sectional Overhead Doors for FS#2 Air Force Plant 42 - Palmdale, CA 7 July 2016

1.0 SUMMARY

1.1 Furnish and install Four (4) 16’x16’ and Three (3) 15’x16’ Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional Doors. Doors will be painted to match existing door. This is a complete turn-key installation, including take down and proper disposal off-site of existing seven Overhead Coiling Service Doors, running all power wires/conduits and new installation. The period of performance is projected to be 12 weeks after purchase order award which includes materials delivery and installation.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK

Furnish and install Four (4) 16’x16’ and Three (3) 15’x16’ Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional Doors. All Seven doors with one horse trolly openers. Door to move in either direction at not less than 2/3 foot nor more than 1 foot per second.

These are sectional overhead doors, 22 gauge panels with windows in the middle panel (double thermal Acryllic or equivalent). Doors will be painted to match existing door. This is a complete turn-key install, including the running all power wires, conduit and J-boxes, removing the existing rolling steel doors and properly hauling them off-site disposal facility.

The current seven doors to be removed are coiling, rolling doors. The eighth door of Fire Station #2 is a sectional overhead door and will remain as is. This sectional overhead door is a Thermacore Model 592. This sectional door has been in operation for seven + years. For ease of future preventative maintenance and standardization, the seven new sectional overhead doors shall be Thermacore Model 592 or equivalent.

3.0 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and technical expertise necessary to remove existing Overhead Coiling doors and install seven new Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional doors.

3.2 The contractor shall accomplish project objectives by complying with the requirements specified herein and per applicable codes, standards and regulations.

3.3 Disposal: Take down and properly dispose of seven existing Overhead Coiling Service Doors, off-site.

3.5 Equipment

· Provide UL listed electric operator, size and type as recommended by manufacturer to move door in either direction at not less than 2/3 foot nor more than 1 foot per second.

· Design and size components to withstand Wind Loads of 85-100 MPH for the AFP42/Palmdale area.

· Furnish and install Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional Doors, with (4) 25" x 12" Double Thermal Acrylic or equivalent Oval Visions in #3 Section of each door (or equivalent), 100,000 High Cycle Springs, Standard RAL Powder Coated Finish #8001; Include Motor Operators RSX Trolley 1hp, 208/230v 3phase, w/Brake, Photo eye and Bottom Miller Edge, weatherstripping.

· (4) 16'0" X 16'0", Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional Doors

· (3) 15'0" x 16'0", Ribbed Insulated Steel Sectional Doors

· Includes all Electrical Connections and Operations checks.

· Operational checks include required manuals, operator training and familiarity, periodic maintenance check lists, functional demonstration, both automatic and manual operations.

· Requirement for electrical characteristics for wiring connection is 208/230v, 3 phase, 60 Hz.

3.6 Regulatory requirements:

· Comply with ANSI/DASMA 102- American National standard Specifications for Sectional Overhead Type Doors.

· Shall meet UL325/2010 requirements for continuous monitoring of safety devices.

· Comply with the rules and regulations of AFP 42.

· Comply with the rules and regulations of the Federal UFC / UFGS standards, State, City of Palmdale, AFP 42 installation requirements.

· Installation procedures or any part thereof are required to be in accordance with the recommendations and requirements of the manufacturer of materials and equipment being installed. Printed copies of materials and equipment installation instructions and recommendations shall be furnished (three hardcopies and one CD) to the designated AFP 42 CE or designated Government representative.

3.7 Administrative Requirements

· Contractor shall field verify all dimensions, calibration, and operational checks.

· Contractor shall keep work areas clean at all times, remove all waste in a timely manner, and eliminate dust and flying debris throughout duration of installation.

· Any items damaged by contractor employees and/or any subcontractors while working on this project will be the contractor’s responsibility to repair and/or replace.

· All workers for this project shall be cleared by the AFP42 security and given an AFP42 temporary worker’s badge for the duration of installation.
