Question 7: What is the required power input to drive the amplifiers at full 1KW output?
Answer 7: The Model SYS1021, 1000 Watt amplifier system, is designed to amplify a signal in the 370 MHz to 450 MHz range from a nominal input of 1 milliWatt (0 dBm) to an output of 1000 Watts (60 dBm).
Question 8: Monitors display the health of the system i.e.. low power, low voltage, over temperature etc. What is monitored and what are the voltage levels (indications) for these monitor points?
Answer 8: The Controller monitors the power supply via the J10 connection, it monitors Current and Voltage (indication- zero to four volt DC signals). It monitors power supply fault (where zero volts represent a fault). It monitors power supply enable or disable. The Power supply has a voltage meter (30 volts is full scale) and current meter (full scale is 300 Amps). A Faulty power supply is simply indicated by a red LED.
