OBSERVATION:
Section L, Attachment 2:
The Virtual Environment configuration should be set-up as follows:
1. Setup a Windows 2012 R2 Server as a Domain Controller with the following parameters:
2 - Windows 10 Workstation (with the latest patch) connected to the domain First Windows 10 Workstation Second Windows 10 Workstation
1 – CentOS 6.0 Workstation connected to the domain with dynamic IP set.
Section L, 3.3.1.1 (Scenario 2):
The Government requires offerors to submit a Virtual Machine. Specifically, which Virtual Machine?
QUESTIONS:
1. Does the Government require offerors to create all the above Virtual Machines -- One (1) Windows 2012R2, Two (2) Windows, and one (1) CentOS machine just for the lab
2. Which Virtual Machine(s) does the Government require offeror to submit in the Portable Hard Drive?
3. Portable Hard Drives are typically connected to a system using a USB, SATA, or Fire-Wire cables. Would the Government consider giving an example of a Portable Hard Drive to avoid ambiguity?
1. The government requires the offerors to create four virtual machines. The following is a list of the virtual machines that are required: a. Windows 2012R2 Server
- Setup as a functional domain controller
b. Windows 10 Workstation
- Setup as a functional domain client
c. Windows 10 Workstation
- Setup as a functional domain client
d. CentOS 6.0 Workstation
- Setup as a functional domain client
2. The government requires the offerors to submit all four virtual machines on the portable drive in functioning order. All virtual machines should be licensed, and be put in a format that can work with both VMWare Workstation 12, and VMWare ESXI 6.0. 3. The government requires the offerors to provide a USB 3.0 Hard Drive with the proper cables to connect to a Government system utilizing the USB 3.0 onboard adapter. These drives will not be returned to the offeror, and will be properly destroyed after they have been properly reviewed, and cleared by all parties involved.
