About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Sources Sought notice (Solicitation Number: FA865225R0003) issued by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The Q&A clarifies two key points: this is a new effort with no incumbent contractor, and the work can be performed remotely, with vendor travel for kickoff and reviews preferred but not mandatory. The AFRL is specifically seeking integrated AI solutions, not research, and has invited industry to provide information on potential solutions. Responses were to be submitted to joshua.sawdey.1@us.af.mil by noon on 3 October 2025. The opportunity is currently in a pre-solicitation stage, with multiple amendments to the original solicitation, including updates to the Q&A document to improve external user accessibility.

Questions and Answers – Sources Sought – FA8652-25-R-0003
Q1. Would you kindly confirm if this is an entirely new effort or is there an incumbent currently providing these services? If so, would you please provide the incumbent contract details?
A1. This is a new effort with no incumbent.
Q2. We would like to confirm whether AFRL anticipates any requirement for contractors to perform work on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB for this effort, or if solutions may be delivered remotely.
A2. Remote is acceptable. Ideally, if the vendor can travel for kickoff and reviews/demos, that would be good, but not a requirement.
