About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for audio and visual equipment rental and services for the Air Force Marathon events. The contractor shall provide, operate, and maintain comprehensive audio and video systems for the start and finish lines of the Air Force Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K events scheduled from 2026 through 2030. The base year covers the 2026 marathon (5K event on September 18, 2026, and marathon events on September 19, 2026), with four optional extension years. Event locations include the National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) grounds for the marathon events and Wright State University Nutter Center for the Friday 5K event.

The marathon audio requirements specify five coverage zones at the NMUSAF, with the Front of House control position behind the finish line stage, using professional-grade equipment from manufacturers such as EAW, Electro-Voice, or Meyer Sound. Video requirements include two high-resolution screens (minimum 9' x 12' with 10mm pixel pitch) and six professional-grade camera positions with signal transmission distances extending up to 1,200 feet. The 5K event requires audio coverage across a 300' x 500' area with acoustic reflection mitigation. The contractor must supply all power generation (including diesel generators), lift vehicles, rigging structures, and weather protection. Setup begins Thursday before the marathon with the 5K event running Friday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and the marathon running Saturday 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by complete equipment removal by Monday 3:00 PM. All contractor personnel must comply with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base security procedures, OSHA regulations, and coordinate with the Marathon Office regarding equipment layout and site design. Invoicing shall be submitted electronically via WAWF portal upon successful completion of services.
