About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Department of the Air Force solicitation, specifically for contract FA8601-26-Q-0001 issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Two key questions were addressed: first, the delivery timeline was extended from 6 weeks to 16 weeks after award, acknowledging the manufacturer's lead time constraints; second, the warranty terms were clarified to allow an optional one-year warranty extension for 15% of the order value, with confirmation that additional warranty costs can be included in the pricing. The document is signed by Linh G. Jameson, Contracting Officer, and dated 16 December 2025.

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
BUSINESS AND ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS DIRECTORATE
WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, OHIO
16 December 2025
FROM: AFLCMC/PZIBA
2275 D Street, Area B, Bldg 16 Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433
SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries Regarding FA8601-26-Q-0001
QUESTIONS
Question 1: According to the solicitation, the required delivery timeline is 6 weeks after award.
However, the manufacturer has advised that their lead time is 16 weeks from the date of the purchase order, which makes the 6-week timeline not feasible.
I would like to kindly ask if you could consider extending the delivery timeline for this project.
ANSWER: The lead time has been extended out to 16 weeks in the SOW.
Question 2: Regarding the warranty, the solicitation requires a 2-year warranty. Upon checking with Quickset Defense Technologies, they offer an option to purchase an extended 1-year warranty for an additional cost. This one-year extension (for a total of 2 years) can be purchased for 15% of the order value.
I would like to confirm if AFIT will allow this extra 1-year warranty and the added cost.
We want to be transparent with our pricing and ensure all costs are clearly disclosed
Answer: If there is an extra cost for adding an extra year to the warranty you can add the additional cost.
