About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for an Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Reflectometer, solicitation number FA860125Q0053. The RFI contains two specific questions and answers related to the reflectometer procurement: (1) confirming that a high emissivity sample is intended for instrument calibration, creating a 3-point calibration system, and (2) clarifying that the control unit, control software, and digital screen are components of a single handheld system (as specified in Technical Requirement 9).

The associated federal contract opportunity details indicate this is a commercial item procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with quotes due by 02 June 2025 at 12:00 PM EDT. The requirement is for one reflectometer, with a 90-day delivery period from award date. The procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, awarded to the lowest-price technically acceptable offeror. Quotes must be submitted electronically to specific Air Force contracting personnel, with strict requirements for email submissions, including specific subject line formatting and file type restrictions.
