Synopsitation FA860124Q0132 QUESTIONS

1. Is there a company currently providing this service? Yes, there is an incumbent contractor.

2. The services state the necessary transportation. Can you elaborate on what that means?

“The Contractor shall provide all necessary transportation, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and supervision to clean both firing ranges located at the Combat Arms Training Facility, Building 296, Area A, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. “ Necessary transportation is meant to mean the contractor getting to the location to perform the work and the movement of the collected HAZWASTE once it’s storage location is full.

3. Is/Are there any designated storage space(s) where we can store our supplies? Do you happen to know the size of the storage area?

We could provide a 5ft x 5ft storage location for small supplies in addition to the location that stores the barrel that the HAZWASTE is collected into.

4. Is there currently an incumbent performing the services for this contract requirement? If so, can you please provide the contract #? FA860121P0135

5. If this is a continuation of a previous contract, can you confirm if this solicitation has the same requirements or if additional requirements have been added / removed from this new solicitation? Yes, the requirements are the same as the current contract

6. In the PWS, under section 1.2 Operational Requirements and Specific Tasks it states, “The contractor shall provide the service Bi-Monthly on Fridays at 1300 (1:00 PM EST)”. Does the government foresee a situation in which services are not completed bi-monthly (2 times a month) or a scenario in which services are only completed (1) time a month due to scheduling conflicts?

There is nothing as simple as a range schedule that would conflict with the scheduled times of the range cleanings.

7. There is no site visit listed on sam.gov or within the solicitation documentation. Will there be a site visit scheduled to view the range work locations? If not, will images of the facility be provided? Images will be provided

8. Also, in the solicitation is mentioned the need to be clean By-Monthly can you clarify if cleaning is twice a month.

The range would need to be cleaned every two weeks. Any period longer then this creates a risk of the waste pilling up excessively on the range.
