SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-21-Q-0129
QUESTIONS
1. QUESTION:
a) On the floor plan, I see the code Wt1 for each window. Is that a true qty of 100 individual that we are replacing with new roller shades?
b) Did anyone go out and look at the hardware for the roller shades and if so did the hardware look like it was in good condition?
ANSWER:
a) Yes there are 100 individual windows
b) The window hardware is approximately 10 years old and is working condition.
2. QUESTION:
a) Will vendor have the ability to remove all shades from the site and replace the shade bands off site, then return to install? Or will vendor be required to replace the shade bands on site?
b) If vendor is to replace shade bands on site, a staging/working station will be needed with large table, etc. Please confirm this can be provided.
c) Please confirm building will not be occupied.
d) The specs indicate a 1% openness, but also states with a minimum of 95%UV blockage. 95% UV blockage would be in reference to a 5% openness. Please confirm which openness is required for the shade material – 1% or 5%.
ANSWER:
a) Contractor to determine means and methods. As long as the bands are replaced within the PoP, either method is acceptable.
b) Government will not be providing staging area. Contractor to provide all supplies necessary.
c) Building will be occupied and Government employees are not to be disturbed.
d) 1%
3. QUESTION: We would respectfully request an additional 6 business day extension to Friday, October 8, 2021 at 3PM.
ANSWER: We will grant an extension to 7 October 2021 at 3PM
