See below responses to questions from our site visit on 4/23.
1. Are contractors responsible for washing dishes in the kitchen area? Yes, although the teams are pretty good at cleaning their own dishes, there are occasions to where the contractor will need to clean them.
2. Will contractors be escorted from the gate? No, the contractor will be given access to the base once the contract is awarded and the background checks are completed. We will however, provide a base map for them follow.
3. Is contractor responsible for cleaning or providing linens for beds? No, we have a separate contract for that.
See below responses to questions posed in email.
1. PWS 1.1.4.16 TRASH RECEPTACLE CARE – Are the trash bags for the large trash receptacles furnished by the government? All trash bags are furnished by the government.
2. PWS 1.1.5 CHANGEOVER – When is the checkout time for occupants on changeover days? There’s no set checkout time. We convey to our guests that they can’t be here during changeover days for logistical reasons. They usually adhere to our request, but it’s dependent on our mission.
3. PWS 1.1.5.1 TOWEL REPLACEMENT – Is the contractor responsible to take linens to/from the base laundry facility? No. CQ personnel will take the linen collected by the contractor, and will sort laundry for linen exchange.
4. PWS 1.1.5.2 CHANGE/MAKE BEDS: If only services are only needed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in general, is the statement “All beds slept in on non-changeover days shall be remade only” referring to Tuesdays? This is dependent on whether our guests are here. If they’re here on a changeover day (Tuesday), then the contractor will not come in that day. So if they’re here on Tuesday, and leave Tuesday evening, then the contractor will come in on Wednesday. If the contractor can’t finish their tasks on Wednesday, then it will push into Thursday. This is where flexibility is required on the contractor due to the nature of our mission.
