Q&A 26 December 2017
Q1. How many Refrigeration maintenance calls should we account for and should we include R-11 gas as needed? (if so how many lbs)
A1. 1 call for the annual refrigeration inspection and 1 service call. Unless there is a major failure we should not need much refrigerant.
Q2. How many emergency repair calls and # of hrs each should we account for? Repair Parts as needed cannot be included because we have no way of knowing what may fail.
A2. 1 emergency call (20 hours) and 2 calls to replace batteries.
Q3. How many LBS of Carbon Dioxide recharge should be included? How many trips/fills?
A3. 2 calls to top off the main CO2 tank, approximately 8,500 lbs each.
Q4. Section 15b (repairs, modifications/upgrades) - Please provide more specific detailed information
A4. System to be replaced are 1 Chemetron Micro 1 EV Low Pressure CO2 panel in Bldg 18C, Battery vault B003. System to be modified due to changes to the Phoenix test rig is a Gemini Kidde-Fenwal WK-265134-000 High Pressure CO2 system; system needs to be converted to manual dump and the nozzle will have to be relocated. Isolation valve to be installed will be a 1-1/2 inch Low Pressure CO2 valve in Bldg 18C, Battery vault B003.
